Welcome to the 25th European Meeting of PhD Students in Evolutionary Biology
The European Meeting of PhD Students in Evolutionary Biology (EMPSEB) is an annual retreat for PhD students from european labs and developing their projects in Evolution.
It is a great opportunity for PhD students to share and receive precious feedback on both their work and presentation skills and also to network and socialize with their peers. In addition, notable Keynote Speakers from relevant and cutting-edge research in Evolution are invited to enrich the event with their knowledge and advice.
All PhD students will give Oral Presentations and, in addition, they can also bring posters. EMPSEB welcomes participants in all stages of their PhD project, so do not worry if you do not have results to show yet.
This event is primarily supported by the European Society for Evolutionary Biology (ESEB) and is organized by PhD students that volunteer during the previous meeting. The 25th edition will happen between 26th of May and the 1st of June of 2019, in Portugal.

How to apply
Be a PhD student working in Evolutionary Biology
Submit abstract for oral presentation (optional: in addition, you may also present a poster)
SUBMIT ABSTRACT HERE deadline: 03.02.2019

You will receive an email notifying if your abstract was accepted until the 12th of February, 2019
Register as a participant and pay the all-inclusive fee of 350€.

NOTE regarding registrations:
ESEB Equal Opportunity Committee decided to offer a 'Congress Attendance Aid grant' to participants of EMPSEB this year.
The deadline is the 19th of May 2019.
